Today I started an Adwords campaign for a weight loss product that I’m working on with a partner.

I know the diet pill / weight-loss market on-line is both highly competitive, and at times a bit over-crowded, but I think we’re going to give it a go anyway and see what we can get done.

Here is the main landing page.

I’ve started a Google AdWords campaign and two adgroups in the campaign. One adgroup is a generic “weight loss” group with not much in the way of targeting. The other is a “Hollywood” group with weight loss keywords related to hollywood.

As usual, I’m tracking everything with adtrackz, so we”ll see how everything goes! I’ll keep you posted!

I’m about to purchase like 100,000 “visitors” from the site to see if we can get any conversions or not.

So I think in my last entry I talked about the fact that I was about to go meet this fellow about the company he worked for.

Turns out the company name is Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals and they have an awesome line up of products from weight loss to muscle and strength, general healthcare and sexual performance.

I’m really excited about having an opportunity to work with them.  They have excellent payment terms, prices, and loads of good marketing materials already written up.

I’ll write a separate blog entry outlining my exact strategy for this.

So awhile ago I posted a “buying lead’ on a website called AliBaba.com which is this huge online global marketplace.  It’s awesome .. you should check it out.

Anyway, I posted that I was looking to buy weightloss or health and wellness products.  Got lots of responses, but the other day this guy contacts me from a local company.

I have been planning to launch some kind of on-line direct-response health and wellness or diet product or something like that.  This guy might be able to hook me up with the product and might even do drop-shipping for me.  We’ll see.

We’re gonna go have a beer at Taco Mac.  Yay.

Tomorrow I’m going to write more about exactly how I plan to launch this (or some) product.
